This series was originally a manga that was adapted into the anime so many people love.”Fullmetal Alchemist”. This series was the adaptation of the original manga series made by Hiromu Arakawa. I would have to say one of the best anime and manga I have ever watched and read in the last three Years. The story itself is enough to catch everyone’s interest. Revolving around Edward Elric and his semi-human brother, Alphonse Elric. When these brothers were younger they had been caught in a horrible incident. There mother had died leaving the boys in the care of their neighbor and her daughter. The boys as naive as they could be believed they could bring their mother back to life. So during the night they went to their shed. Using a form of scientific technique called “Alchemy”, they drew something known to them as a transmutation circle. They succeeded in bringing back the body but not the soul, and in the process Edward lost his right arm and left leg, where his brother lost his body. Edward in a panic found his abandoning father’s armor and connected Alphonse’s soul to it. After this the brother not giving up on the resurrection of their mother sought out the Philosopher’s stone. The strongest natural alchemy.

Originally a manga series written by Mr.Yuto Tsukuda and illustrated by Mr.Shun Saeki. The year that the series made its way into Shonen jump was in November 26, 2012. The anime adaptation aired on September 25, 2015, with the second season announced and will begin airing in July 2016. The series follows Soma Yukihira who has a wish to eventually inherit his father’s restaurant. The protagonist Soma finds himself set against super chefs and a woman who judges their food. This woman given the title “God’s Tongue” loves Soma’s food but she has a bit of a “Tsundere” personality. For those who don’t know what this term means, is  that the woman in question has a cold personality towards others but gradually warms up to them in time. This becomes a problem for Soma and he finds that this cooking school isn’t as easy as he would have liked.

This anime was originally a manga series written and illustrated by Mr. Hajime Isayama. With the series mostly revolving around killing “Titans”, or huge humanoid like figures that eat humans. The story’s main character is Eren Yeager with the main Heroine Mikasa Ackerman, who is Eren’s adopted sister and the childhood friend Armin Arlert. The story begins with Eren and Mikasa wandering around town searching for firewood. Some other stuff happens and they meet Armin who is getting beaten up by some bullies. Mikasa being intimidating scares them off. Then the Colossal Titan attacks breaking the wall Maria. Titans flood the city and destroy it. In the process a Titan that is not a big part of the story, called the Smiling Titan eats Eren’s mother. From that day on Eren vows to kill every Titan.

This anime series was adapted from a light novel that was written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by Abec. The story revolves around Kirito who, along with thousands of others are trapped in a virtual reality game in Japan. This technology links your brain chemistry into the game server. This same machine will kill any character that tries to forcefully remove their “Nerve Gear” or if they die in the game.  The game being created by Mr. Akihiko Kayaba served its purpose. Kirito having leveled up amazingly fast due to being a “Beta tester” of the game went and joined a guild in order to get through the game back to reality in doing so he becomes acquaintances with Asuna Yuuki. Which begins a long, long, long  road to romance.

The manga of this series was written by Tsugumi Ohba, story following Light Yagami, a high school student, who inherits by accident a destructive weapon called a “Death Note” which was dropped by a Shinigami or “Death god”. The rules of the book give instructions on how to kill or cause accidents for people whose names Light knows. To avoid killing people with the same name Light must also know the face of the victim. Now the Shinigami follows Light getting to enjoy the Quote on Quote “Birth of a God”. Light is given advice by the Death god Ryuk. Light could halve his life to inherit a power known as “Shinigami eyes” which allow Light to know people’s names without needing to ask. Which helps when you can kill someone with a notebook.
